Dan's foresight for potential problems is remarkable, checking for various possible issues and making sure that user errors always fail gracefully, instead of giving the user uninformative error messages.

Anytime I've had a feature request, he's been able to handle the job. Dan's expertise also shines when explaining why I shouldn't do something on the site, saving me from plausible issues and/or faux pas.
