KWSalvage Admin Interface

KWSalvage

KWSalvage.com is a website run by Kern and Wooley LLP in Los Angeles, CA. The site provides listings for salvaged aircraft and provides visitors the means to place bids for salvaged craft.

In order to provide their visitors with a wealth of information in as small a space as possible we developed a compact layout for each piece of aircraft information, from what paperwork is provided to how many engines and props the plane has.

"Even the image sizing process was simplified so that all images are resized automatically!"

But perhaps the most useful piece of this website is the administrative side. Kern and Wooley wanted to provide a way for their claims administrators to add listings to the sites. Previously, this was handled by one person who built the pages manually. This required a lot of coordination and required someone in the office who was familiar with HTML and basic graphic design skills (not always possible for a smaller firm).

To make life easier for everyone at Kern and Wooley we developed a robust back end administrative interface which allows claims administrators to enter everything manually, at their own speed. Each piece of information can be entered as it's gathered, from the description of the accident to the type and number of instruments in the plane.

Claims administrators are even able to upload their photos with absolutely no photo manipulation. The adjuster chooses the photo for the listings and clicks upload, then our server resizes the image to fit on the page and automatically creates a thumbnail version. Instant photo galleries without any graphics software or knowledge.
